Revitalize pen ink and high lighters with your Rowenta steam iron

Pens and high lighters are so inexpensive that they tend to be throw away items. Most people don't think twice about giving them away. But a budget conscious person will see the monetary mistake in doing so. Even though the average person disregards pens like pennies. We all have our little stash of just in cash pens. However, since we use them so flippantly. When we need one, our stash has dried up to the point that they are of no use. Or are they.

Before you get frustrated and throw them out try this first.

1) Place your pens in an old can or cup.

2) if you can, take the tops from the pens and high lighters.

3) For the high lighters, drip a tiny bit of water in the top.

4) Fill your steam iron and put it on the highest heat and steam output setting.

5) Place the cup of pens in the kitchen sink and hover the steam iron over the pens and high lighters.

6) Use the steam burst button to create maximum steam output.

7) place the caps you removed onto the pens while they are hot and able to be handled. This will allow the moisture from the steam to not escape and dry out your efforts, especially with the high lighters.

8) Shake the pens in a downward motion to draw the ink towards the tip.

9) Let the pens set for 10 minutes.

10) Try and use the pens and high lighters. If they work, your golden. If not discard them and get new ones.
