Use your Rowenta steam iron to quickly thaw out Capri Suns and other metallic container drinks

We all love iced cold beverages in a hot summer day. But sometimes we forget to check the freezer and over do our quick cooling attempts with our drinks. Well it's not much of a problem with plastic containers.

A short microwave cycle and they're thawed and still cold. But, you're in for a light show if you place an object made of metal into a microwave. Not to mention running the risk of damaging your unit and your drink exploding all over the insides.

Well here's a trick to get you on your way to enjoying that sweet beverage. heat your Rowenta steam iron to the highest heat setting and maximum steam output. With the tank full, place the Capri Sun in your kitchen sink. Hover your steam iron over the packet (about two inches).

Use your steam burst button to get maximum steam output. take care not to damage the packet with too much heat. Also, don't defeat the purpose by over heating the contents inside. Periodically message the pack to help break up the ice. Once it gets to the desired fluidity, put the straw in and enjoy.

The same technique can be used to get home made sickle pops out of their mold. Just use the steam iron and force bursts of steam around the mold until it melts enough to make the pops pull out with little effort.
