Your Rowenta steam iron is not just for removing wrinkles and making creases. With just a little thought and creativity, you can save time money and energy all while reducing your carbon foot print on the earth by repurposing your Rowenta steam iron. Read on to discover the different ways to keep your steam iron employed.

1) You can soften your stiff jeans. Jeans can be very relaxing and comfortable. But they can also be a source a irritation if they are stiff and unmoving. So rather than taking the full brute force of your iron to it making creases you don't want in your jeans; try using the power of heat and steam to do tame ornery jeans. Just heat your Rowenta steam iron to its hottest setting and highest steam output.

You can lay your jeans on flat surface or hang them. Instead of ironing your jeans just hover your steam iron about an inch over them. Use bursts of steam to permeate the fabric of the jeans. While the jeans are warm, put them on and presto!! No more stiff jeans, yet they still have that wash and wear look.

2) Get candles out of their holder. How many times have you broke the candle or the container trying to get a candle out. Well, just pull out the old steam iron and fill it with water. Heat it to its highest temp and steam output. Hover the steam iron around two inches from the holder where the base of the candle it. Use bursts of steam to loosen the candle and viola! You can easily pull the candle out.

3) Using the same technique, you can: Make removing stickers and decals easier with less risk of scarring surfaces.

4) Soften light plastics for re-shaping

5) Soften and revitalize play-dough. You will have to knead it back to life.

6) Soften paint brushes.

7) Sanitize your tooth brushes.

This just scratches the surface. Give it some thought and I'm sure you can come up with ways to keep your steam iron working well beyond its laundry duty life.
