But in some cases, it doesn't have to be. read along on how to use your steam iron to save money while creating wooden crafts.

1) Fill your steam iron and heat it to its highest setting and steam output.

2) Take bamboo, reed or popsicle sticks and place them in a bowl of hot water.

3) Hover your steam iron over the bowl, preferably a rectangle one, and press the steam button on your iron for maximum steam output.

4) Do Not place the steam iron directly on the wood strips. The heat will tend to dry out the strips and you want the strips to retain moisture so they will bend easily.

5) Once the strips have reached there flexible point, periodically blast them with steam from your iron to keep them hot and flexible. Don't allow them to cool for long.

This method saves loads of water. And keeps you from being tied to the stove or sink when doing your crafts.
